Hi Igor ! Thank you for your interest in my blog. To your question:
Auckland Botanic Gardens are open daily. During mid October to mid-March it is open from 8am to 8pm, and during mid March to mid October it is open from 8am to 6pm.
Visitor centre inside Auckland botanic gardens is open daily except Christmas Day. During mid October to mid-March it is open from 8am to 4.30pm weekdays and 9am to 5pm on weekends. During mid-March to mid-October Visitor centre is open from 8am to 4pm on weekdays, and 9am to 4pm on weekends.
There is also a Library located at Auckland botanic garden which is open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 11am to 3pm, and closed on Christmas Day.
Getting There:
The Auckland Botanic Gardens is situated right next to the Southern Motorway, on Hill Road, Manurewa.
Travelling south on the Southern Motorway (SH1)
Take the Manurewa/Hill Road exit after Manukau City. Turn left onto Hill Road and the main entrance to the Gardens is the first driveway on the left.
Travelling north on the Southern Motorway (SH1)
Exit at Takanini, turn left onto Great South Road and head towards Manurewa. Before the Manurewa shops, turn right at the lights into Alfriston Road. Follow Alfriston Road and turn left at Claude Road and continue until it connects with Hill Road. Turn right into Hill Road and drive past the traffic lights, the entrance to the Gardens is 100m further on, on the left.
Buses and trains from downtown Auckland
Buses travel to Manurewa from Britomart Transport Centre. Phone MAXX on (09)366 6400 or visit _www.maxx.co.nz for timetable information. Ask the bus driver to drop you at Southmall. From Southmall, walk up Hill Road from the traffic lights, after about 15 minutes, the Gardens will be on your left 100m past the motorway overbridge.
